Declaration on accessibility
Autobahnen- und Schnellstraßen-Finanzierungs-Aktiengesellschaft (in short "ASFINAG") endeavours to make its websites accessible without barriers in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended to implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council dated 26 October 2016 on barrier-free access to the websites and mobile applications of public authorities (Official Journal L 327 dated 2 December 2016, page 1).
This declaration on accessibility applies to the website /.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
This website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the "Web content accessibility guidelines web – WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08) due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.
Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
The following content is not fully accessible for the reasons listed below:
- Success Criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships)
Semantic structures such as lists or headings are not consistently implemented. For example, visual lists are not marked as such, and headings do not follow a logical order. Tabs are sometimes presented as simple radio button lists.
- Success Criterion 1.3.2 (Meaningful Sequence)
The order of content in the DOM occasionally deviates from the visual presentation, e.g., in the hero section. This can cause orientation difficulties for assistive technologies.
- Success Criterion 1.3.3 (Sensory Characteristics)
Distinctions, such as those on maps between different toll types, are primarily made using color. This is not accessible for users with color vision deficiencies.
- Success Criterion 1.4.1 (Use of Color)
The distinction between "Digital Vignette" and "Digital Section Toll" is made solely through color without additional markers.
- Success Criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast Minimum)
Certain text elements, such as those in the footer or buttons like "Buy Now," do not always meet the optimal contrast ratio.
- Success Criterion 1.4.10 (Reflow)
When the view is enlarged (e.g., 400% zoom), horizontal scrolling occurs in some cases because the content is not displayed responsively.
- Success Criterion 1.4.11 (Non-Text Contrast)
Certain graphical controls and focus states (e.g., shopping cart, footer icons) do not meet the required contrast ratio against the background.
- Success Criterion 2.1.1 (Keyboard Accessibility)
Some interactive components, such as maps or modal dialogs, have limitations in keyboard accessibility.
- Success Criterion 2.4.1 (Bypass Blocks)
Skip links (e.g., "Skip to main content") are not consistently visible or functional.
- Success Criterion 2.4.3 (Focus Order)
After opening a dialog, the focus is not always correctly confined to the dialog area and can unintentionally jump to background content.
- Success Criterion 2.4.7 (Focus Visible)
The focus indicator is either not visible in some areas or has insufficient contrast.
- Success Criterion 3.3.2 (Labels or Instructions)
Certain form fields, such as the language selection, are not always clearly or fully labeled.
- Success Criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value)
Some buttons (e.g., the delete icon in the shopping cart) are not always programmatically labeled sufficiently and are not clearly identifiable for screen readers.
- Success Criterion 4.1.3 (Status Messages)
Important status changes, such as removing an item from the shopping cart, are not always automatically announced by screen readers.
